Apricot Orange Grove

Apricot nectar brings mellow stone-fruit sweetness, orange juice adds a familiar sunny note, and a small measure of lemon sharpens the finish. This simple stirred cooler has a soft, cloudy body that gives the green base somewhere comfortable to settle among the orchard flavors.

The flavor balance

Apricot nectar contributes rounded sweetness and body that can reduce the prominence of an earthy finish. Orange and a measured amount of lemon give the drink a clear citrus direction without overwhelming the softer fruit.

Ingredients

One glass · US measures

  • 1 serving Isagenix Greens, measured according to your current canister’s serving directions
  • 1/4 cup sweetened apricot nectar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 7 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 thin orange half-wheel, for garnish

Measure the Greens according to your current canister’s serving directions. Use chilled liquids and wash fresh produce before preparing.

How to make it

  1. 1

Combine the apricot nectar, orange juice, water, and lemon juice in a measuring jug.

  2. 2

Add the Greens and whisk until evenly dispersed, breaking up any dry clumps against the side.

  3. 3

Put the ice in an 18 fl oz goblet and pour the cooler over it.

  4. 4

Stir gently, garnish with the orange half-wheel, and serve promptly.

Taste and adjust

For a softer citrus profile, replace 1 tablespoon orange juice with 1 tablespoon of the listed water.

Mixologist’s tip: Use a nectar labeled apricot nectar, since a thick apricot puree would change the texture and dilution.

Serve alongside: Egg and spinach breakfast sandwiches
