Peach Basil Garden

Ripe peach takes the lead in this softly textured cooler, with a restrained touch of basil for a garden-fresh aroma. Apple juice rounds out the fruit, and lemon adds a little lift. The herb stays in the background so the green base does not become overly leafy.

Serving suggestion: a subdued yellow-green peach cooler over ice in a fluted highball, garnished with a peach slice and one basil leaf on a bright garden table.
Illustrative serving suggestion. The color varies with your Greens and fruit.

The flavor balance

Peach and apple supply rounded fruit sweetness that can soften grassy notes. Using just one basil leaf in the blend adds aroma without piling a strong herbal flavor onto the Greens.

Ingredients

One glass · US measures

  • 1 serving Isagenix Greens, measured according to your current canister’s serving directions
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ripe peach slices
  • 1 small basil leaf, torn, plus 1 small leaf for garnish
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 thin peach slice, for garnish

Measure the Greens according to your current canister’s serving directions. Use chilled liquids and wash fresh produce before preparing.

How to make it

  1. 1

Add the apple juice, water, lemon juice, and measured peach slices to a blender.

  2. 2

Add the Greens and blend for 20–30 seconds until the peach is smooth and the powder is dispersed.

  3. 3

Add the torn basil leaf and pulse twice, just enough to distribute small flecks.

  4. 4

Pour over the ice in an 18 fl oz glass. Garnish with the separate peach slice and remaining basil leaf, then serve.

Taste and adjust

For a gentler citrus edge, use 2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1 additional teaspoon of the listed water.

Mixologist’s tip: Add the basil only for the final pulses to keep its flavor restrained.

Serve alongside: Tomato and mozzarella sandwiches
