Passion Fruit Pineapple Fizz

Passion fruit and pineapple create a bright, perfumed fizz with a mellow tropical sweetness. The Greens first meet a still fruit base so they disperse evenly; sparkling water goes in at the end, leaving a cloudy, lightly effervescent cooler with a fresh lime aroma.

Serving suggestion: a cloudy olive-gold fizzy drink with ice and a lime wheel in a faceted highball on pale travertine, beside passion fruit and pineapple.

The flavor balance

Passion fruit provides a strong floral-tart aroma that gives the green base another flavor to sit beside. Pineapple and the sweetened nectar round off the edges, while bubbles lighten the finish.

Ingredients

One glass · US measures

  • 1 serving Isagenix Greens, measured according to your current canister’s serving directions
  • 1/4 cup sweetened passion fruit nectar
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons cold still water
  • 6 tablespoons chilled plain sparkling water
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 thin lime wheel, for garnish

Measure the Greens according to your current canister’s serving directions. Use chilled liquids and wash fresh produce before preparing.

How to make it

  1. 1

Pour the passion fruit nectar, pineapple juice, and still water into a measuring jug.

  2. 2

Add the Greens and whisk until evenly dispersed; let any mixing foam settle briefly.

  3. 3

Place the ice in an 18 fl oz glass and pour the still fruit mixture over it.

  4. 4

Slowly add the sparkling water to the open glass and give it one gentle stir. Never blend or shake the carbonated mixture.

  5. 5

Set the lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately.

Taste and adjust

For less sweetness, replace 1 tablespoon of the passion fruit nectar with 1 tablespoon of the listed still water.

Mixologist’s tip: Chill the sparkling water before opening it so the finished drink needs no vigorous stirring.

Serve alongside: Crisp shrimp lettuce cups
